Most likely this saga of retrogression will be decided in the next 2 to 3 months when Senate / House discuss the CIR. If by July end nothing happens, it will be a signal for us to leave. I know this will be a good news for some since the queue will get shorter, but who cares. This country "was" the best, but the next "best" country is likely to be from Asia. I don�t mean to insult your intelligence, but who ever came up with ideas to ask, celebrities, a noble laurite and other accomplished folks from the immigration community to send faxes does not have the slightest plan on how to make this succeed.
If this is the kind of ideas the �lobbyists� QGA is giving us, may we need some fresh blood in helping us out. I completely agree �eb3retro� in working with AILA.org in helping us get our message across. PLEASE STOP THIS INSANE IDEA OF SENDING FAXES all the time either from members of IV or asking other people to do it on our behalf. We are hurting ourselves and don�t even know it. As I have said in my earlier posts �We need the Erin Brockovich of immigration to help us on this, and I am the AILA or similar organization can do this for us.�

Why cant you guys understand, we have no right to demand.
Lot of people , who otherwise would have qualified for Eb2 went ahead with EB3. First of all why did you you agree to it. Because, that time, that was something easy to get instead of changing it to EB2. That was the fight under your control. Not the one you are asking for.
Someone rightly said, you need one scientist,2 qualified/experience guys and 6 eb3 guys to do actual work. A right pyramid for an organisation.
But how can you miss govt. requirement. They need more PhDs. So they are asking us to do more study, earn more higher advanced degrees because thats what they need. Not our so called BE/Btech degree. In another 4-5 years, I wont be surprised, if only guys with masters will be only allowed to apply, if they find equal number of master graduates. Who cares for ordinary graduates. EB3 min qual will be raised to Masters with 5 years experience. What will be your say then ?
So look ahead and act accordingly. Make sure you can anticpate their moves. Its not a rocket science. 6-7 years back, there wasnt much application for EB category. But looking at the last year number, I wont be suprised, if they decide to raise the criteria bar. Simple, and all backlogs will be over. The reason they are not doing this because they still need eb3/eb2. But not in quantity, you would like them to but rather what they would like to have.
As far as country uota is concerned, everyone knows China and India, over populous contry. You increase the number to a million, and that would also fall short. But then they do not want so many people from a single country, as it will have a lot of political ramification in the future.
You are making up things here; Eb1->Eb2->Eb3 is correct only from education and experience for the Job point of view but not true from Quota point of view.
�The argument that Eb1 is preferred above Eb2 and BE2 is preferred over EB3 is absurd.
The regular yearly BE quota is distributed equally among all three categories, so then why they should not follow the same distribution for the overflow numbers?
Said that all BE3 applicants who are eligible should port there PD to EB2. Simple, when you know how the system works try to adapt to it.�
We don�t know the system when we filed our CGs, we just trusted out attorneys. If we have to do this CG stuff again most of us will do it differently.
Remember one more thing, one may be EB2 can still be less qualified and less experienced then an EB3 as EB criteria is for the Job not for the person.

Think they revamp their systems before starting off with the new year.
Dec Bulletin will see EB categories being opened up. Don't think there will be any change in Nov Visa bulletin.

Your lawyer seems to be incorrect on this. You may want to consider getting second opinion.
AC-21 can be invoked on H1 as well as on EAD. Your choice.
Many times, joining second employer is relatively easy on EAD as it involves no H1 filing (less paperwork), but using EAD requires one to travel ONLY on AP.
Using H1 is more peace of mind. If for some reason I-485 is denied, one can in US (and work too) until H1 status expiry date and handle appeal more effectively.

Hey, I'm about as Anglo Saxon as you get, and I wish all Hindus here and their families a happy Diwali. I also sent a Diwali card to a friend earlier this week.
Just a matter of respect for others and their cultures.
There is a point that we are viewed (incorrectly) as an Indian group.
However, let's not ban Diwali, or Christmas, or any other celebrations.
I don't think it is very popular when ACLU sues local governments that put up certain Christmas decorations.

I am suprprised if IV is working towards abiltiy to file 485 and hard country limit...Just want to know how IV is working towards these 2 items...
If any of these two wont show out in coming bill,..then I would say goodbye to IV..because all other items in bill were there without IV;s interaction....
Can somebody calrify if these options will anyway include in this bill..by means of ammendements...
This is like someone in Sri Lanka saying that "if I don't get a blanket within 12 hours of the Tsunami, I will quit the Red Cross."
How about thinking, "if these items don't show up in the coming bill, I will become a more active member and work towards getting these items to show up at the next opportunity"?

A# is assigned during I-140 approval process. Unless you get an approved I-140 from your employer it is difficult to get the A#. BTW, I didnt knew my A# so I just left that field blank and sent I-140 Tracking number instead.

My PD has been current quite a few times since 06/2007. Last time when I called TSC, my NC was still pending. My FP was done during 07/07 and I heard from some one in this thread that FP is valid for 15 months only. So what should I do now. Should I go for an infopass and take an FP appointment ? Guys please advise.
